Used Toyota Corolla Major Redesigns

2009 – In terms of style, not much changed when this current generation of Corollas was introduced. The engine size did increase to 132 horsepower, and new vehicles now came standard with a CD stereo audio jack and air-conditioning.

2003 – Just like the generations before, this redesign focused on creating a roomier, more comfortable driving experience. The Corolla no longer offered stripped down design styles. Instead many Corollas came available with a whole host of features.

1998 – By the time this car was designed, the Corolla had come a long way from its small car roots. With its roomy interior, the 1998 model also offered increased fuel efficiency.

1988 – By the time this generation of Corollas rolled out, Toyota had completely switched to a front-drive suspension. This new design now offered a more sophisticated driving experience.

1984 - Up until this point, all Corollas featured a rear-drive chassis. With the introduction of this generation, Toyota added a front-drive sedan to the Toyota Corolla model line. It should be noted that the Corolla coupe, hatchback and wagon designs still used a rear-drive chassis.

1975 – Seven years and two design changes later, the Toyota Corolla was redesigned to match the angular car styles of the 70's.

1968 – A simple reliable two-door car, this is how the Toyota Corolla first greeted American car buyers.
