Major Ford Redesigns in 2005

Ford Focus -The second generation Focus underwent some major cosmetic changes. Both the interior and exterior of the flashy little car were updated to offer more stylistic choice. In addition, the Focus was now available in either a 2.0-liter or 2.3-liter engine.

Ford Mustang - Paying homage to the classic style of the Mustangs from the 60s, this ninth generation model moved to an all new chassis, replacing the 25-year old 1970s Fox platform. Current Ford Mustangs come standard with a 3.7-liter V6 that produces 305 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque.

New 2005 Ford Models

Ford Freestyle - While the Freestyle was considered a crossover, its responsive handling, roomy interior and stylish features exhibited the best features of a station wagon, SUV and minivan. This first and only generation came standard with three rows of seating and could fit up to seven passengers. Standard options included power accessories and CD-player. The Freestyle also distinguished itself by offering a number of safety options, including air bags for all three rows of seats and antilock brakes.

Ford Five Hundred - Designed to appeal to the small, but active family, this five-passenger family sedan offered the appeal of space. No, the Five Hundred was not designed to outperform or outclass other family-centered sedans. Instead, for the on-the-go driver who needed a spacious, comfortable and reliable ride, the family sized car was built to deliver.
