Horace and John Dodge founded the Dodge Brothers Company in 1900. By the next decade, their vehicles were being used by the US military, and the brothers quickly developed a reputation for manufacturing durable vehicles that could perform even under the most difficult conditions. The company was later acquired by Chrysler and is now a part of the Chrysler Group LLC.
Dodge's reputation for hardworking cars and trucks has carried on through the decades. Today, for example, Dodge's Ram brand of trucks is often chosen for jobs that require the ultimate in rugged durability.
