At usedcars.com, we introduce shoppers like you to automobile retailers, retail networks or financing companies. We collect information that you submit to us through this website ("Submitted Information"), including personal information you may submit to us in connection with requesting an automobile price quote, financing or insurance, responding to surveys, contacting us by email or creating a usedcars.com user account. Submitted Information may include personal information about you such as your name, address, phone number, email address. Submitted Information may also include information regarding potential trade-in vehicles, employer and employment status, social security number, residence information, bankruptcy status, date of birth, household income and availability of a cosigner.

In addition to directly or indirectly forwarding your Submitted Information to an automobile dealer or provider of financing or insurance services, we may use your Submitted Information in the following ways:

You should expect to receive communications from the automobile dealer, manufacturer, network of automobile dealers, or finance or insurance provider to which we forward your Submitted Information. OTHER DISCLOSURE
We reserve the right to disclose your personally identifiable information under the following circumstances:

We generally retain your Submitted Information for two years following the deactivation of your account or, if you do not have an account, your submission of a request for information through usedcars.com. We may retain your information for longer in the event that it is needed to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.
